Environmental Policy
BizIgnition recognises that its professional activities as a large
multi-office company will have a direct and indirect impact on the
local, regional and the global environment. As a consequence of
this, it is committed to a programme of continuous improvement in its
environmental performance. BizIgnition's policy is to
significantly and consistently, exceed the standards set for compliance
with the present environmental laws, rules and codes of practice.
BizIgnition's aim at all times will be to exceed the expectations of
its employees, clients and neighbours. It aims to set a benchmark
in this discipline. BizIgnition's aim is to manage its
environmental impact by following the key guiding actions listed
below. These are fully supported by a more formal document that
underpins this policy.
- BizIgnition will comply with all environmental legislation as set
by all legislative bodies be they European, national or local authority;
- BizIgnition will integrate environmental considerations and
impact awareness into the development and implementation of it's
corporate policy;
- BizIgnition will build a profile of it's current environmental
impact in order to benchmark and improve future performance;
- BizIgnition will be an efficient user of energy and water;
- BizIgnition will reduce and minimise it's waste by recycling and
using a modern intense programme of waste management;
- BizIgnition will promote the use of technology to reduce the need
of business travel;
- BizIgnition will encourage alternative means of transport for
journeys to work such as the central government cycle programme, car
sharing and public transport;
- BizIgnition will ensure environmental criteria are taken into
account in the procurement and review of goods and services including
Real Estate;
- BizIgnition will increase staff awareness of how the firm is
tackling the environmental effects of it's activities including
awareness and feedback sessions.
- BizIgnition will work closely with it's suppliers to ensure that
they are performing properly in managing the environmental impacts
associated with their businesses; and
- BizIgnition will measure and constantly review its Carbon
Footprint.
BizIgnition's commitment to the wider environment in which we live and
work, includes our involvement with the Universal Service Solutions
Environment Club, active participation in the Business in the Community
programme and Local Wildlife Trusts. Part of its strategy is to
set targets that can be monitored and the results shared in order that
the areas for improvement can be identified and responded to by all
within the company, to ensure that BizIgnition is fully compliant and a
leader in this drive to help the environment that we all share.
